Year 8 trip to Eastbourne Harbour
Friday 5 June 2015
On Thursday 28 May, Year 8 went on a trip to Eastbourne Harbour. In class, the students had recently completed a unit of work on coasts. The Harbour is a popular leisure area and the students found out what the area was like before the development and what it is now like.
They completed some surveys of the environment, drew a field sketch and conducted a survey of the shoppers to find out what goods they were buying, how far they had come, how often they shopped there and how people travelled there.
In subsequent lessons each member of the class will produce a power-point, leaflet or poster to present their findings.
‘I really enjoyed walking round the Harbour’ – Davina Forward
‘I saw many jelly fish’ – Rachel Yue
