Year 5 & 6 Trip to France 13-15 May
Thursday 14 May 2015
On Wednesday 13 May, the Years 5 & 6 girls departed from Moira House Girls School and made their way to France with Mme Couture, Mrs Kemp and Miss Sheridan. On their arrival they enjoyed a picnic in the beautiful gardens by Nausicaa in Boulogne.
After lunch they walked around the cobbled streets to take in the architecture and, in the afternoon, the girls were very excited to visit Becasuc, a sweet factory!
On Thursday they visited a French Market in Le Touquet and the English Cemetery of the First and Second World War in Etaples. In the afternoon, they went sand sailing in Camiers Ste Cecile and returned to their residential centre for supper.
On Friday, they visited a local primary school and the Bakery Le Fournil in Wierre in the morning before embarking on the Euortunnel to make their way home.
Here are some photos taken by Miss Sheridan so far – we look forward to hearing all about their trip on Monday.
