The Woodwood Science Challenge

The former Head of Biology’s legacy to Moira House is a challenging competition to further the advancement of scientific knowledge and stimulate research among Sixth Form students. This annual event requires teams of A level scientists to research a current topic, acquire a comprehensive understanding of the issues involved and make a presentation of their findings.

A very special reunion took place in Lake Windermere of twenty-one Old Girls and Old Boys who were evacuated when Moira House moved to the Ferry Hotel during the Second World War.
Marvelous Megan wins best all-rounder

Megan Burr a year 8 student at Moira House Girls School was selected as best all-rounder out of over 150 girls in the St Bedes annual under -13 girls rounders tournament last Wednesday 5th May.
Future Golf Star at Moira House School

Hope Beland (14) from Moira House School is enjoying success in golf. Hope who has a handicap of just 6 is continuing to practice hard and is delighted to have been chosen for the England Super Birdie training.
Girls cricket grows at Moira House

Cricket continues to go from strength to strength at Moira House School. The popularity of the sport has grown immensely over the past couple of years and record numbers of girls are now participating in the sport.
New minibuses join the fleet

Moira House Girls celebrate World Book day

Moira House School became home to a very colourful array of book characters when it celebrated World Book Day on Thursday 4th March. The Very Hungry Caterpillar rubbed shoulders with Dalmatians, Winnie-the-Pooh, Blind Mice , White Rabbits, Greek Gods and numerous other characters from some of the students favourite bedtime stories.
Florida Nature Trail
