Moira House Girls celebrate World Book day

Moira House School became home to a very colourful array of book characters when it celebrated World Book Day on Thursday 4th March. The Very Hungry Caterpillar rubbed shoulders with Dalmatians, Winnie-the-Pooh, Blind Mice , White Rabbits, Greek Gods and numerous other characters from some of the students favourite bedtime stories.

SUSSEX LADY TAVERNERS CRICKET LEAGUE

The 1st XI played their first fixture of the season away to Roedean on Wednesday 6th May. On an evening that was not very helpful for good cricket (high winds and poor light), MOHO beat Roedean by 27 runs.
Childnet - Internet Safety Activity Day

I am pleased to announce that we have invited Childnet into school on Friday 24th April 2009 to run an interactive day for children in years 5 and above on the safe and positive use of the Internet.

To reinforce the messages explored with the children during the day we are also offering a seminar presentation for parents in the evening.
SUSSEX WCCC U15 INDOOR CRICKET TOURNAMENT

Alicia Buck from Moira House School in Eastbourne has been selected for the Sussex Cross Country Squad following her recent success at the Sussex Inter School Championships held in Horsham.
Victory at the Inter-Schools Showjumping Challenge

Moira House School rode to victory in the Inter-Schools Showjumping Challenge at Golden Cross on Sunday 22nd February. After overcoming numerous problems throughout the morning, with team member Phoebe Watson sadly having to retire, the team performed beautifully, with Kirstin Taylor, Flora Alessandroni and Stacey Little going clear in the first round.
