Netball Trial 2 - for web

Well done to our Year 5 and 6 girls who played in coaching games against Lewes Old Grammar School. Both the U10 and U11 matches were extremely close and very well-contested. Congratulations to the U10s for securing a 4 – 2 victory and also to the U11s, who, playing with new shooters, won their match by 4 goals to 3.

The U15s fought hard against Mayfield in the Netball knockout cup and the final score of 22 – 11 did not reflect their outstanding performances. The U15B and C teams smashed the competition against Gildredge House winning 30 – 7 and 18 – 3. On Wednesday the U13A and B squads played Gildredge House, with the U13A losing out narrowly 14 – 9 with some outstanding playing all around and the U13B came away victorious with an easy win of 20 – 5. The final match of the week was our U18 Hockey team against Buckswood who came away with a strong win of 4 – 1. A special mention to Frankie Head for her outstanding performance.

Our swimmers did exceptionally well at the Roedean Gala placing 3rd overall on Monday with some great swims from Lilianna Winn and Frances Smoker. Our U13 Netball team played an excellent match against Bede’s in the knockout cup, but sadly lost out in the final quarter by 13 – 9. Our U15 Hockey players tackled Lancing on Tuesday. The Lancing side were incredibly strong but provided our team with a great experience. Our U11 Hockey team played LOGS in their first matches of the season, winning both games. Our U13 Hockey team played two great games against Gildredge House winning one and narrowly losing the other. On Thursday our U18 Hockey team played outstandingly against a strong Lancing side losing closely by only 2 – 1. Well done to Jade Buck for her goal. Finally, our Cross Country runners did themselves proud by placing 5th in both divisions with Bethany Cook placing first in the Junior section and Hope Parish placing 17th overall. You have all done Moira House proud!
Well done girls for another great week of sports!
