This week in Sports

U15 Netball v LOGS
It was another exciting week of sports. The week started off with a tough match for the U15s against LOGS. The team worked extremely hard, individually and together. They made great tackles and strong attacking runs, showing improvements in teamwork.

U13 Netball v Skippers Hill
There was excellent playing from the whole time, especially Pippa Carrington, Taliah Maidens and Bronwen Trowhill who displayed fantastic teamwork. The girls won with an uncontested score of 22 – 3.

U9 Short Tennis v Bede’s
We played our first sponge-ball mini Tennis match of the year against Bede’s this week. We welcome our new Tennis players, Sofia (Year 4) and Gabriella (Year 2) who joined our U9 mini Tennis team and played exceptionally well. Congratulations to the whole team for some lovely rallies and a very successful fixture.

U11 Netball v Burgess Hill
Our U11s had a tough Netball match against a strong and experienced Burgess Hill team. They can be very proud of their fighting spirit and the progress they have made already this term. Movement, spacing and passing have really improved and skills are being applied in the game much more effectively and at greater pace. All of our Year 5 girls played against the Burgess Hill U11B team. It was a very close game with Burgess Hill coming from behind to score the winning goal in the final quarter.

U18 Hockey v Claremont
The U18 Hockey team played a brilliant match against Claremont School, winning a convincing 9 – 1 with goals from Frankie Head, Annie Smith, and Jade Buck. Chloe Hughes and Imogen made some excellent runs down the wing to support Frankie and Chloe Cory in the midfield. Bethany Collins and Poppy Horne kept strong in defence with Lizzie Garner and Lauren Davison preventing Claremont’s attacks from getting through. Sorrel Jordan kept her eye firmly on the defensive line, encouraging the team.
