PERFORMANCE OPPORTUNITIES AT MOIRA HOUSE

Giving girls the opportunity to perform is a key element of Music and Performing Arts at Moira House. Highlights of the school year include Autumn and Summer Concerts which have grown so popular we are now taking them to external venues this year. Founders Day is another key event as are the Musical Productions and the Music Tour. We aim to ensure that all girls are given appropriate performance opportunities as she makes her way through the school.  Friday Assemblies

Each Friday morning we celebrate the breadth of talent across the school with a formal performance element to our whole school Friday Assembly. This gives students another platform on which they can get some performance experience to a wider group of peers and staff.

Trips and Visits

Each year the department is committed to giving the girls to perform in a variety of venues beyond school and to experience professional and local performances through a selection of concert and theatre trips. A key component of this policy is the running of music and performing arts tours where the girls experience several days away from home performing in exciting venues and soaking up the culture of another town, city or country. Recent tours include Paris and New York and in June 2017 we take approximately 45 girls to Italy to perform at Lake Garda and in Venice.
