Nursery School Curriculum (Mini MoHo)

Nursery school children enjoying the curriculum Nursery school boys and girls enjoying the curriculum

Experience has shown that children benefit from some structure to their day and we therefore follow a daily routine through which each child is able to develop individually. We follow the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum, as set by the DCSF.

We have a weekly cookery session where children are given individual bowls and use various tools in a safe and appropriate manner under close supervision.

We also visit the Eastbourne Central library for the story telling session, which gives the children the opportunity to experience a wider selection of books and help to develop their social skills.

We are fortunate to be able to share the Junior School French teacher. The children have the opportunity to sing French songs and play games in a fun environment.

We also have a weekly drama and a music lesson.

The weekly Swimming session takes place every Friday morning. The children work their way through an award scheme, which recognises and rewards increasing water confidence and skills.

ICT is a major part of our everyday lives. The children have free access to the Nursery computer but we can also use the ICT suite in the Junior School where we enjoy working with the interactive whiteboard and the individual computers.
