The Moira House Girls School Equestrian Team enjoyed a well deserved success in the Inter-Schools Showjumping series at the Kent County Championships run by Angley School.

The team, comprising of Flora Alessandroni, Phoebe Watson, Halle Wilkins and Jess Folwell, travelled over to Staplehurst to compete in the Novice and Intermediate classes against strong competition from Kent, Sussex and Surrey Schools.  Moira House were drawn first to jump in the Novice Team class, but didn’t let this disadvantage put them off, with the whole team jumping superb clear rounds.

The girls then had a long, nerve-wracking wait, watching the other ten teams compete, hanging onto the lead until the penultimate team, Buckswood, finally beat them to first place.  Moira House finished with second place rosettes and further points added to the Regional Points League, well ahead of Claremont, Benenden, Cranbrook and Marlborough House Schools, amongst others.
