Moira House became home to a very colourful array of book characters to celebrate World Book Day.

Winnie the Pooh rubbed shoulders with Miss Havisham, and the Wizard of Oz mixed company with Harry Potter as well as numerous other literary characters.

The whole Senior School gathered together for a morning of reading and sharing of stories. A fun literary quiz was held in the afternoon, as well as a number of activities, including a book mark competition and a picture competition.

Head Librarian, Mrs Alison Standen, said: “It was a great day that promoted reading for enjoyment and celebrated the pleasure and enrichment that books and reading can bring.”
