Pupils at Moira House Girls School celebrated World Book Day and the start of a Book Week by dressing up as their favourite book characters.
An amazing array of characters filled the classrooms and corridors and the girls had the opportunity to parade their costumes during a special morning assembly. Congratulations to Connie Stock-Best, Holly Broadhurst and Lucy Lamb in the Junior School, who were selected as the winners of their age groups.
Teachers also took part and dressed up, and several members of the Senior School staff kindly volunteered to read stories to the Junior School girls – an experience which was very much enjoyed by all!
During the week, other fun activities took place, such as quizzes, and a Book Fair, which were all designed to promote reading.
