Moira House Girls School hosts a Flute Workshop for over 40 young flautists

Over 40 young flautists from Moira House and 10 local Schools attended a Flute Workshop last week hosted by Moira House Girls School.

The young musicians, aged from 9 to 11, enjoyed the opportunity to meet one of the UK’s top solo flautists, Stephen Clark, who provided a workshop to help them improve technique.

As a finale to the Workshop, parents, children, staff and guests came along and were treated to a remarkable performance by all the young musicians.

Peter Burge, Moira House’s Director of Music, said: “We were delighted to welcome Stephen, who is such a brilliant musician, to the School. The pupils benefited tremendously from his inspiring teaching.”
