The Reception children have been on a minibeast hunt around the school grounds this week. We made predictions about where we might find the insects and why they like to live in those conditions. We found a centipede, snails, spiders, ladybirds and lots more besides hiding in areas around the school. The children collected natural materials and then created a home for the insect of their choice. We have been sorting bugs in the classroom and classifying them by the number of legs they have.
