Location:
Moira House Girls School is situated in Eastbourne, an attractive holiday resort town on the South Coast. The School campus was established on its present site nearly 120 years ago, and from it’s hillside location enjoys wonderful views over the town and sea.There are excellent direct road and rail links to London, and good accessibility to Heathrow and Gatwick, the UK’s leading international airports.
Finding the School:
Visitors to the School travelling by road, will most likely arrive in Eastbourne via the A22 (Route 1), the A27(Route 2) or the A259 (Route 3). Please use the detailed street map to find the School.
Route 1 (A22)
Follow signs to Eastbourne. Just before Polegate, turn left at roundabout (following signs to Eastbourne) on to the A27 (Polegate Bypass). Follow signs to Eastbourne rejoining the A22 (Golden Jubilee Way, Highfield Link). At the 4th roundabout turn left onto Lottbridge Drove. Follow through to the seafront. At 2nd roundabout (swimming pool opposite) turn right onto Seafront (Royal Parade). Stay on Seafront (Grand Parade, King Edwards Parade) all the way past the bottom of Beachy Head (St Bedes School) and turn right at Wellcombe Crescent.Turn left at end of road and follow into Carlisle Road. Moira House School will appear on the left.
Route 2 (A27)
Follow Signs to Eastbourne. At first major traffic lights at Polegate, you can follow signs to Eastbourne that will take you down Route 1, or a quicker way is to turn right onto A2270 and follow the road all the way into Eastbourne (past Polegate and through Willingdon). At first round about take the second exit (staying on the A2270). At first Traffic lights turn right onto Victoria Drive. Follow Victoria Drive through to Summerdown Road then Paradise Drive. Follow Paradise Drive past the Golf Course on the Left and take first right into Link Road. Turn right into Carlisle Road. Moira House School will appear on the right.
Route 3 (A259)
Follow Signs to Eastbourne. Follow through East Dean and up the hill, take the first Turning on the right (B2103 Beachy Head Road). Follow for about 1.5 miles and take first left onto Carlisle Rd. Moira House School will appear on the left.
