On Wednesday 11th May, Mrs Deane, Mrs Kemp and Ms Sheridan took the Year 5 and 6 girls to the Kingswood Outdoor Education & Activity Centre on the Isle of Wight. They travelled by coach and ferry and arrived at their destination in time for their first activities.
For some of the girls this was their first time away from home, but there was no time for feeling homesick with an action packed programme of events including go karting, abseiling, climbing, fencing and caving.
One of the favourite activities was the 3G swing, where two children climb into a seat and are winched up into the sky by the other members of their group. When they reach the top, they pull the cord and swing to the floor. Some say the teachers’ screams could be heard from the other side of the Activity Centre!
The girls approached every activity with energy and enthusiasm. They continuously challenged themselves and worked well as a team. What a fabulous trip!
