Following an introduction to the work of Terracycle the junior girls were encouraged to take up a new Community challenge in assembly this week. As well as using the recycling bins around school, the girls have been invited to research to work of Terracycle and to design a poster, presentation or fact sheet to inform others of the benefits of recycling.

Blue balloons were awarded for writing and sharing stories with younger girls at playtime, for kindness to others on Sports Day and for kindness to a younger pupil helping her with sleep advice.

Green balloons were presented for the creation of a music poster for the music room, for an outstanding oil painting and for a kindness poster.

Red balloons were awarded for becoming the Number 1 seed in tennis and for winning in a first match on grass, for success in the 10 and Under County Championships, for sleeping independently, for achieving the ½ marathon status Park Run, for success in the All England Dance competition, for gaining 3rd place at the Orr Dance Festival and for completion of Quest Challenge 6.

We were delighted to award gold balloons to Ava, Presley, Jasmine and Matilda. Our Y4 Maths challenge participants were also awarded their certificates – well done girls on a great effort!
