We are fortunate to have in the art department facilities that include a large light art studio at the top of the school, a photography area created in 2009 with a darkroom, a pottery studio and a Design Technology workshop.

We take full advantage of our superb facilities to create a wide range of work allowing girls to gain many experiences and find their own strengths. The recent addition of Photography has added a very exciting extra dimension to the department. We now also have the equipment to teach textiles to small numbers of girls at extra curricular level and in examination classes.

The Art department takes students on regular trips to local galleries, London, and residential trips abroad to widen their experience of Art and enrich their work. We also invite visiting artists to the department to run workshops, and we have life models visiting for the 6th form artists to study.
