- Part Time (Maternity Cover) Music Teacher required for September 2017 – Fixed Term Contract until December 2017
We are looking for an enthusiastic energetic classroom music teacher to cover a maternity leave. The successful candidate should able to deliver music curriculum lessons to girls in years reception through to year 8. Each year group are taught for an hour a week and the successful candidate will deliver classes to all the year groups with the exception of Year 7. In addition there is a requirement to run some weekly music activities including music theory classes up to grade 5.
You will be joining a thriving and busy department that has a full schedule of concerts and events and the successful candidate would be required to assist in the running of the departments performance output in the Autumn term.
The weekly teaching commitment would be a minimum of 6 hours plus 6 hours of music activities. The hours may extend into one evening each week. The music activities can be discussed at interview depending on the candidates musical strengths. At interview the candidate can expect to teach a short session with a lower prep school group and run a short musical activity of their choice.

- Pianist/Performing Arts Specialist
Moira House Girls School Eastbourne is seeking to employ a pianist with a specialism in Musical Theatre/Performing Arts from September 2017.
We would require the successful candidate to work 6 hours per week during term time. The 6 hours are fixed but working times have some degree of flexibility within the timetable as long as they support the Head of Music appropriately. In addition to the 6 fixed hours there will be additional paid hours when the pianist would be expected to accompany exams, concerts or MD a show. Performance times would be fixed and agreed in advance.
The successful candidate will need to be an excellent pianist with strong sight-reading skills, and have experience of running choirs/choral groups and MD experience in musical theatre. If the candidate is able to contribute to the music teaching on a BTEC performing arts course this would be preferable, and additional regular hours for this may be available depending on the commitment
- Full Time Permanent Chef/Cook Required – Straight Shifts and some weekends involved
