Our senior school exhibits a well-balanced curriculum, which helps our girls explore and achieve their academic potential. We cultivate a positive attitude towards learning from the outset that remains with the girls throughout their education and beyond.

We provide opportunities for all our girls including the most gifted and talented scholars, to be stretched academically. Critical thinking, independent learning and reasoning are encouraged with the aim of nurturing a generation of aspirational forward thinking women, open to learning and acquiring new knowledge every day.

Moira House Senior School offer a wide range of GCSE/ iGCSE subjects that reflect the needs and demands of the girls. Each girl is seen as an individual and prompt attention is given to ameliorate immediate concerns.Through regular assessment we provide robust pupil monitoring systems to ensure that suitable intervention is given to the girls at the appropriate time. Our girls make outstanding academic progress throughout their time in school, and our public examination record is excellent, particularly when considering “added value”.

Excellent pastoral care is delivered through the personal tutor and Head of Key Stage. This ensures that each girl receives the support she needs during our time here. Regular inter-house competitions and team-building exercises engender an appreciation of each girl’s contribution to our school community and our weekly whole school assembly is a celebration of this.  Our holistic to education ensures our girls develop the life skills they will need in the future.  This personal development is underpinned by our outstanding extra curricular provision.
