A SUPER START FOR TENI

New girl, Teni Ogunlesi in Year 7, attended the Luton Open Meet Gala last Saturday. The day started very early at 6.30am and she had a long day ahead of her as she was competing in four events. The competition was fierce as it was a Level 2 meet. With limited training in the run up to the gala, it was a big ask, however, Teni was determined to give it her all, and that she did.

She first achieved a Bronze in the 50m breaststroke. Next she took 4 seconds off her Personal Best in the 100m backstroke, finishing in fourth place.  This was followed by the 100m freestyle, again she narrowly missed out on a medal and finished in 4th position.  The final event of the day was 50m Fly, even though signs of  fatigue were visible, Teni swam to victory and finished in bronze position.  Teni should be extremely proud of her achievements— very well done!
